Recall Alert: Target Recalls Popular Cat & Jack Swimsuits and Cloud Island Rompers

At Child Safety Store, we try to guide our readers along the way. This includes the unfortunate task of alerting people about the most recent product recalls. This time around, we’re here to tell you about some recalled Target items that you’ll want to know about.
Target Recalls Popular Cat & Jack Swimsuits and Cloud Island Rompers
What Target Products Are Being Recalled?
Target sells baby items from exclusive brands like Cat & Jack and Cloud Island. On December 30, they recalled popular items from these collections: a swimsuit from Cat & Jack, and infant rompers from Cloud Island. These products both come in multiple design patterns.
Cat & Jack Infant-Toddler Girl’s One-Piece Rashguard Swimsuits
These swimsuits came in the following designs: “Summer Blue Lemon,” “Coral Icon Story Hawaiian” and “Moxie Peach Lemon.” They were available in sizes 12M-5T.
The product item number is printed on the white tag inside of the swimsuit. Recalled item numbers include:

Infant Rompers by Cloud Island
The recalled rompers include: Waterfront Baby Boutique single romper, the Little Peanut and True Navy romper set, Little Wildflower and Joyful Mint set, Oh Honeybee and Pink set, and Floral Fields and Mint set. These rompers were sold in sizes newborn to 12M.
The product item number is printed on the white tag inside of the rompers. Recalled item numbers include:

Why Are These Items Being Recalled?
In both cases, there is a valid and urgent cause for the recall. The snaps can break or detach from the swimsuit or rompers, posing choking, laceration and pinching hazards to children. For the swimsuits, there have been 27 reports of the snaps breaking or detaching, including one report of a laceration. For the rompers, there have been 16 reports of the snaps breaking, detaching, or missing, including one report of scratches and one report of a child being pinched.
What to Do if You Own These Recalled Target Infant and Toddler Clothes
The swimsuits were sold in Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from December 2019 through October 2020 for about $15.
The rompers were sold at Target stores nationwide, and online at Target.com, GoogleExpress.com and Shipt.com from July 2019 through October 2020 for about $10 for a single romper and $11 for 2-pack rompers set.
If you own one of these clothing items, you should keep the item away from your child and return them to any Target store for a full refund. If you purchased the item online, contact Target to receive a prepaid return label to return the item(s).
